Costume Design
Lily Wasik has recieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Costume Design at Point Park University. While she has worked with a variety of styles and periods, Lily does have a preference to the costuming and styles of the Regency, Victorian, and Edwardian eras. Her love for these periods is often reflected in both her stage design, as well as her fashion design.
Lily has designed and built a wide variety of costumes and garments, including a 1940/50's inspired wedding gown, a vest basque from an 1872 design, and assorted other garments. She has also been assistant to costume designers Pei Chi Su and Joan Markert of The Pittsburgh Playhouse on such productions as Hair, Warrior, and Anything Goes.
Lily is currently working on designs for her first ready–to–wear collection, combining aspects of historical fashion with futuristic materials and naturalistic themes. She hopes to release this line in the autumn of 2007.
